Looks like our little Ava Mae will be having a Happy Thanksgiving! She was adopted on Nov.22, 2022.

Ava fractured both her right humerus (upper right arm) and her left femur (thigh) before she even made it to 6 weeks old. Luckily she was found and taken to Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter where she had surgery. Both limbs have plates and she’s been on cage rest with us while she heals. She will continue her cage rest in her new home and hopefully will be cleared next week when she goes for her recheck.

Ava will have some buddies to play with as this family already has two Ladewbies at home.
