Freckles is a white calico adolescent female (9-10 months), rescued from an elevator shaft by FDNY at the Kingsborough NYCHA complex in Crown Heights just before Christmas. At first, Freckles was very frightened after her ordeal of abandonment and it wasn’t clear whether she was fully socialized. But she now feels safe and is showing her true, affectionate nature toward humans and is showing interest in other cats as well. Freckles was vetted in January (spayed, eartipped, vaccinated against rabies and FVRCP, microchipped and negative for FELV/FIV).  Even though Freckles is socialized and does like people, she does have a bit of an unpredictable nature.  She would be best in a household with an experienced cat owner with no children.
