IT’S KISMET!

Congratulations to Kismet (formerly Rory) 0n 6/21/24..

One year ago, Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC) reached out to us to help a kitty named Kermit who had a traumatic injury to his left hind limb. What was left of the limb was severely infected and needed amputation. Our friends at Animal Surgical Center allowed us to transfer Kermit (thank you David!) from ACC directly to them so that he could have immediate surgery. Once healed, Jen fell in love and adopted him.

This year on nearly the same day, ACC again reached out to us about a cat named Rory who had two broken legs, the left hind limb so severely fractured, it couldn’t be saved and needed amputation. Again, we sent Rory to Animal Surgical Center to remove his left hind limb. His right hind limb needed splinting. Rory turned out to be one of the sweetest, most loving little kitties who also absolutely loved cats! He greeted every cat or kitten that came into surgery so we knew he needed a buddy.

Jen wanted to get a friend for Kermit and when she heard about Rory, she knew he was the one. On Wednesday, on the exact anniversary of Kermit’s Gotcha Day, Jen adopted Rory and he went home yesterday. Rory has a new name now — it’s Kismet — because if this isn’t kismet — what is?
